About

Our Story

At BhūVyom and artSTEMic, our founder Ashrita Gachumale believes education should be more than just textbooks and tests—it should spark wonder, nurture empathy, and empower young minds to think boldly.

We started with a simple mission: to make science, art, ocean conservation and space exploration accessible, joyful, and humane. Through hands-on learning kits, storytelling workshops, ocean weeks, and stargazing nights, we blend the creativity of art with the logic of STEM to inspire curiosity in every child, regardless of their background.

artSTEMic brings science to life through colour, movement, and play. From painting Newton’s laws to building magnetic cars, we break down complex concepts into meaningful, memory-making moments.

BhūVyom, Sanskrit for from the Earth to the sky, extends this curiosity into the cosmos. We introduce learners to ocean conservation, astronomy, climate change, and space science—all through activities, compassion, and imagination.

Together, we’re not just teaching facts—we’re making science and conservation come alive. Our workshops are held in underprivileged schools, rural communities, and even old age homes across multiple cities—bridging generations and geographies through creative STEM. Everyone builds something with their hands, learns something with their mind, and leaves with a spark in their heart. And every kit we design is made with thought, accessibility, and care.

All this, because we believe that the next ocean explorer, space scientist, or climate hero might just be sitting in a classroom with no lab, no telescope, no access. All they need is one spark.

We’re here to light it.

We're not just teaching STEM, we're reimagining it. With glitter, goggles, constellations, coral reefs, and recycled materials, we turn classrooms into curiosity labs where science is messy, magical, and made by students who never thought they could love it. From making models of planets to painting coral bleaching, we blend climate action with the cosmos, proving that you don't have to choose between art and engineering or activism and astronomy. We don't wait for the future. We make it- with Arduino boards, paint-splattered clothes and dreams big enough for both oceans and orbits. 100% of proceeds from our activity kits directly fund our educational initiatives for underprivileged students.
